Trip to Bali

今までリゾートというものに全く興味がなかったのですが、昨年７月に仕事でバリに行ってから、リゾートの魅力の虜になりました。

ギラギラと照りつける太陽、でも日陰に行くと爽やかな風にふかれ、ふと耳を傾けると穏やかな波の音。
都会の喧噪から逃れて、ラグジュアリーなプール付きヴィラで静かに過ごす時間…
“なにもしない贅沢”ってまさにこのことを言うのね…なんて仕事を忘れてぼんやり。
南国リゾートでのゆったり＆まったりバケーション、最高でした。（ちなみに仕事もちゃんとしてましたよ）
また近いうちに、次回は本当のバケーションで行きたいものです。

 

I never had interested in traveling to resort. Since I had a chance to go to Bali for business on July last year, I totally fell in love with this amazing resort island. You felt sunshine on your skin and cold breeze under the shades of trees and all you could hear was the sound of waves. Spending some quiet time in pool villa far away from busy city, I almost forgot about work and thought "I'm enjoying DOING NOTHING!". Even though that was a business trip, it was one of the most relaxing trip I'd ever had. I really wish I would go back there someday soon for real vacation.

なんと約８ヶぶりのブログです。
月日が経つのって本当に早いですね。
このブログ空白の間にも、ライブしたり、レコーディングしたり、プライベートでは韓国、バリ、台湾などに旅行に行ったり、慌ただしくも充実した日々を過ごしていました。
改めまして、昨年バンド活動を応援してくれた皆さん、ありがとうございます。

そして年が明けまして、バンド名が変わりました。
その名も「Lily Glass Group（リリー・グラース・グループ）」。
最初に音楽活動を始めた時は、意味やコンセプトを重視した名前「Les Glass Glace」にしていたのですが、ありがたいことにライブに呼んでいただく機会が増えていく中、ライブを見てくれた人全員が覚えやすい名前にした方がいいかも…と思いはじめたのです。
ということで、以前の頭文字“LGG”はそのままに、Lily Glass Groupと読みやすい英語名にしました。
みなさま、ぜひ覚えてくださいませ。

LYS の最新コレクション“Madonna Lily ”のサウンドも出来上がりましたので、ぜひ視聴してください。左のsoundcloudからも聴けますよ。今回はいままでよりもじっくり時間をかけて、コレクションの世界観を音楽に落とし込んでいきました。新生LGGに相応しいポップでカラフルな楽曲になったと思います。


最後にライブのお知らせ。
最近、よくイベント等でご一緒させてもらっているほざきまゆみさん。ほざきさんが昨年末にリリースされた素敵なアルバム「風とひとひら」のレコ発ライブが３月１０日（日）に行われます。記念すべきライブに呼んでもらえて本当に光栄です。
その他の出演者は、コウノトリさんと冬支度さん。
お昼間のライブなので、ゆっくりとした雰囲気で楽しんでいただけると思います。

I can't believe it's been for about 8months since I blogged last time. How time flies !
While I was away from blogging, My band was busy doing some shows and making new music. And I  personally enjoyed traveling to Korea, Bali, Taipei. Last year was full of new experiences and fun stuffs. I'd like to thank all my friends and the audience who supported our band.

As New year comes, Our band has brand new name ! It is Lily Glass Group.
When we named our band "Les Glass Glace", we thought about the meaning and concept first. But luckily, we had chance to play many shows more than we expected. We started thinking about getting new name which everyone could remember easily. We kept LGG for the initial and changed from French to English. I hope everyone likes our new name Lily Glass Group.

There is another news for you. LGG has a official web site on LYS web ! Yey!

And also, Our new tracks for  LYS new collection "Madonna Lily" finally came out! We spend a lot of  time and worked very hard to make them for telling the story of the collection. These new songs are very pop and colorful and show what LGG are right now.

Our upcoming shows will be on March 10th. This event celebrates Mayumi Hozaki' s new amazing album "Kazetohitohira"releasing. Our band and Mayumi has played on same stage several time lately, so I'm really honored to be invited to this special party. Other acts will be KOUNOTORI and FUYUJITAKU. This afternoon event must be relaxing and cozy. Hope everybody will come!

Upcoming Show: Satellite stories Japan tour

またしてもブログの更新を怠っていましたが、ライブのお知らせ。

今週の金曜日（というか明後日！）、Violensのツアーでもお世話になったrallye ｌabel さんのアーティストで、フィンランドのバンドSatellite stories の京都公演のオープニングアクトとして出演させていただきます。
Satellite stories は、フィンランドのTwo door cinema club と称されている期待の新人バンド。
ポップでキャッチーなサウンドで、ライブもかなり盛り上がりそうな予感。
rallyeさんのHPでは彼らのインタビューが掲載されています。ｔwitteｒによると、もう日本に到着しているようですね。ほのぼのとしたルックスがかわいらしい。

そして先月のViolensのツアーの京都公演でLGGのライブを観てくださった方々、ありがとうございました。京都アバンギルドは初めてだったのですが、とてもいい環境の中満足いく演奏が出来たと思います。
Violensは文句なしのかっこよさでした。今回はサポートメンバーにMGMTドラムのWill、ベースにはthe pains of being pure at heart ドラムのKurtが参加という、インディロックファンにはたまらない豪華メンバー！　ちなみにViolensのベースのMilesは、The Drums のツアーに参加している関係でスケジュールの都合がつかなかったそう。「ブルックリンで音楽やってる人たちは常にいくつかのバンドを掛け持ちしていることが多いので、スケジュールを合わせるのが大変なんだよ」とViolensのJorgeが言っていました。その分、こんな豪華なサポートメンバーもすぐ見つかってしまうというのもブルックリンならではなのかも。ちなみにJorgeとWillとKurtはご近所さんなんだとか。
Violensのライブは、音源で聴く時よりもラウドで激しく、久々に爆音に溺れる感じがとっても気持ちよかったです。

みんなナイスガイで、私たちのライブが終わった後も「良かったよ！」と言ってくれて感動（涙）。また、ツアーで日本に来てほしいものです。

Take This Waltz

海外の映画サイトで最新映画情報をチェックするのが好きなのですが、最近特に楽しみなのが「Take This Waltz」という映画。http://www.takethiswaltz.com/

この作品は、「死ぬまでにしたい10のこと」でも有名な女優サラ・ポーリーの2度目の監督作品。マリリン・モンローを演じてアカデミー賞にノミネートされたミシェル・ウィリアムズをはじめ、セス・ローゲンやサラ・シルバーマンなどが出演しています。

ミシェル演じるのは２８歳のマーゴという女性。マーゴは優しい夫ルーと幸せな結婚生活を送っていたが、ある日近所に引っ越して来たハンサムなアーティスト・ダニエルと出会い、次第に彼に惹かれるようになる…というストーリー。

プロットだけを読むとドロドロしたメロドラマみたいですが、予告編を観る限りは２人の男性の間で揺れ動く女性の複雑な思いがコミカルに、そしてキュートかつロマンティックに描かれているよう。

真夏のキラキラした太陽の感じ、衣装やインテリアに使われているビビッドなカラーなど、映像的にも心くすぐられます。
ミシェルが着ている古着っぽいカラフルな服がすごくかわいい。

予告編やスチール写真を眺めているだけで、無性に夏が恋しくなり、甘酸っぱい、切ない気持ちがじわじわとこみ上げてきます。

日本では８月くらいに公開予定とのこと。待ち遠しいかぎりです。



I love searching for upcoming movies on overseas movie site. And what I'm looking forward to see is "Take This Waltz". This is directed by Sarah Polley who is known as an actress famous for leading role in "My life Without Me" and this is her second film as a director. The cast of this film are Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Sarah Silverman. Michelle plays a leading role named Margot. She has a good life with her sweet husband, but one day she meets handsome artist Daniel and she's falling for him deeply. Maybe it sounds like some cheesy melodrama. But as seen from this trailer, it shows that her complex feelings between two men in comedic, cute and romantic way. I also love this visually, you can feel the sun shining in midsummer and it uses vivid colors for interiors and clothes effectively. I'm totally falling in love with the all colorful vintage-like outfits Michelle wears.Seeing those pics and trailer makes me miss summer so much and get emotional with bittersweet and sentimental feelings.Take This Waltz will release in August in Japan and I just can't wait.

Upcoming show : Violens Japan tour

もう今週の金曜に迫ってきましたが、NYブルックリンを拠点に活動する、3ピースギターポップバンド、Violensの来日ツアーの京都公演のオープニングアクトとしてLGGが出演します。

Violensは先日待望の新作「True」を本国でリリースしたばかり。（日本では先行発売済み）
ヴァイオレンスという、気合いの入ったバンド名やクールなアー写の雰囲気とは裏腹に、ドリーミーなギターポップサウンドが展開しています。憂いを帯びつつも爽やかなボーカルも素敵。

今回は、新曲もやりますよ！現在、猛烈練習中。

同じくオープニングアクトとして出演する[.que]さんのライブも楽しみです。
[.que]さんは、新作「sigh」をリリースされたばかり。
こちらで試聴できますが、温かなエレクトロサウンドがすごく心地いいです。

そんなこんなで、本番まであと５日。
ドキドキとワクワクが交錯する中、できるだけたくさんの人に喜んでもらえるよう練習に励みたいと思います。

We'll play as an opening act for Violens (three-piece guitar-pop band based in Brooklyn) Japan tour at Kyoto on Friday in this week. They've just released their new album [True] in US( which has already released in Japan). In contrast to a kind of dark band name "violence" and their really cool appearance, it has dreamy guitar-pop sound. I also love clear vocal which has also melancholy mood. On SPIN, you can stream their album and also read their comments about each songs. I also enjoyed the interview on Monchicon. You can get interesting facts about their music style and music influences. Now I'm so excited to see their show ! We'll be on the stage around 8pm. We're gonna play new songs! and we're working on very hard right now. I am also looking forward to see [.que] 's show. He's just released new album "sigh". Feeling excited and nervous, all we gotta do is rehearsal and we hope that as many people as possible will enjoy it. 

UPDATES③ Pascal Pinon Japan tour @ GUGGENHEIM HOUSE

３月３０日（土）Pascal Pinon live＠旧グッゲンハイム邸

アイスランドの姉妹デュオPascal Pinonのジャパンツアーにお誘いいただきました。

海外のアーティストと同じ場で演奏できるなんて、しかもずっと行きたかった憧れの旧グッゲンハイム邸にお客さんとしてではなく出演できるなんて、本当に夢のようでした。

LGGは久しぶりの３人編成。グッゲンハイムの雰囲気に合わせた選曲で、以前ibuki氏のソロライブでも歌ったBjorkのHyper Ballad も歌いました。グッゲンハイムのクラシックかつ落ち着いた雰囲気のおかげか、すごく気持ちよく歌うことができました。

観てくれた皆さま、どうもありがとうございました。

その他の出演者、ice cream shout、girls pancakes、DJ陣（Kengo/yoko/Bob）、キノ・イグルーさんの映像作品もすごく良くて、個人的にも思いっきり楽しんでしまいました。

もちろん、メインのPascal Pinonも素晴らしく、アコースティックギターを中心にしたシンプルな音と、どこか儚げでピュアな歌声にただただうっとり。まるで春の木漏れ日を思わせるような空間に、ほっこり心が癒されました。まだ１０代の彼女たち、ライブの合間にポツポツと囁くように話している様子がすごく愛らしかったです。

3/30 Pascal Pinon Japan tour @ GUGGENHEIM HOUSE
We played for the show of Pascal Pinon who are sister duo from Iceland. I felt really grateful for this opportunity, because we'd play on same stage with overseas artist for the first time and GUGGENHEIM  was I always wanted to go for long time. LGG were just three of us for this time. I also sang cover of Bjork's Hyper Ballad. Thanks to cozy and  classic atmosphere of the place, I enjoyed singing very much. I'd like to thank people watched our stage. I also enjoyed other players's show as well, ice cream shout, girls pancakes, DJs（Kengo/yoko/Bob）, KINO IGULU. Pascal Pinon were wonderful. Their acoustic sounds and fragile, pure voice were so beautiful together. It made me feel like I was surround by sunlight filtering through trees. They were only in their teens and it was adorable that they talked like whispering during the show.

UPDATES② Trip to Sydney

３月２２日〜２６日　オーストラリア・シドニー旅行

某航空会社の懸賞にあたり、シドニーに行ってきました。

人生初のビジネスクラスのフライト！　快適すぎてもっと乗っていたかったくらい。

もうエコノミーは乗れない体になってしまったかもしれません。

シドニーは都会でしたが、大阪などとは違ってもっとのんびりとした空気が流れていました。

シドニーではとにかく食べまくりましたよ。パンケーキ、ミートパイ、オイスター、ピザ、屋台のトウモロコシ、エッグベネディクトなどなど。

そして一番思い出に残っているのは、人生初のオペラ鑑賞（これも懸賞の一部）。

オペラハウスではなく、ハーバーの特設会場で催されていたスペシャルプログラムで「椿姫」鑑賞。劇中には花火が上がったり、壮大かつ迫力のある歌声と演奏に感動しっなし。

また、オープニングナイトだったこともあり、男性はタキシード、女性はドレスと華やかな会場の雰囲気も素敵でした。ほとんどが年配の方々だったのですが、中にはファッション誌から出て来たかのような、ゴージャスなボーイ＆ガールズもいて、眺めているだけで至福の時。

そんなこんなで３日間の弾丸トリップでしたが、よい旅になりました。

3/22〜26 Trip to Sydney

I won the prize for free Sydney trip of a certain Airline company. I was so excited about my very first business class flight!  It was so comfortable and I wanted stay much longer. I don't think I would go  economy ever again... Sydney was a big city but not too busy. We had a lots of delicious foods and sweets. Most memorable moment was watching a opera for the first time. It took place in special stage build on harbor and a program was [La Traviata].  I was so moved by great, powerful voice and musical performance and there were fire works during the play!. It was a opening night so that I enjoyed waching everyone dressed up in their tuxedos and gown. People were mostly middle-aged and elderly but sometimes people who looked gorgeous like models on fashion magazine caught on my eye. That was short stay but I had wonderful time in Sydney.
